Biking to The Grove Just Got Better!
If you like biking in Austin, you'll love this news! The Austin Bike Advisory Council voted unanimously to support The Grove. (Click here to read the resolution!)
Here's why: The Grove will add new protected bike lanes in both directions of Bull Creek Road, as well as create a multi-use path along the frontage of The Grove.
You might remember that last August, cyclists and active transportation advocates joined Bike Austin and Friends of The Grove in a design charrette to share ideas with the developers of The Grove.
The goal then was to make the future community the most bike-friendly in Austin -- and that's exactly what we are doing now.
Because of these efforts and more, The Austin Bike Advisory Council, which advises the City of Austin on all matters relating to the use of the bicycles, unanimously approved a resolution that supports The Grove!
This news follows other bike-friendly announcements like the future Pedestrian-Bicycle Bridge over Shoal Creek.
The Grove is proud to have won the support of the Bike Advisory Council and thanks them for the resolution.
