Response to Request for Qualifications for
The Grove at Shoal Creek

You should expect the project to require a thoughtful and rigorous design effort. As part of your initial response, Milestone would ask that you familiarize yourself with the project and submit samples of previous work done that you think would be well suited for this urbanizing location and a broad range of target buyers.

What we are looking for:
1)    We are looking to meet as many talented Architects as possible in the next several weeks.  Please help us by getting the word out and share this RFP with as many colleagues and associates as you would like, we will be selecting many architects to work on this project. 
2)    We are looking for great Architects, with an emphasis on Austin locals, that are willing to become part of a vibrant and challenging design environment.  The project architects for the commercial portion of The Grove at Shoal Creek will include Overland Partners and JHP Architects.  Both firms have a portfolio of world renowned architecture that will set the tone for the entire project.  The residential for-sale architecture should compliment a nature focused, eclectic commercial tone with a wide range of architectural styles that will combine to create an eclectic mix of residences.  We will start with a design concept where everything is on the table, and creative ideas are very much encouraged. 

Please review our community website to get a feel for how the different home types will layout within the community, and how the green space is woven throughout the project.  We truly have an opportunity with this project, given its unique location, to create something that is of legacy value for centuries to come.  Please consider joining us in this noble endeavor. 

Your response is needed before end of the work day Friday, April 29th, 2016 and should be sent to  Electronic submittals are fine, and preferred. If you choose to submit hard copies please include 3 copies. You may receive a follow up phone conversation as part of our selection process. More information in the form of an RFP will be forthcoming once we have worked through the RFQ responses.
